Guitar Emerge - Free Worship Chord Progressions

During free worship, there are many different ways to create different mood and atmosphere. In this video, we introduce 6 different SETS of free worship chord progression. Do try it out during your rehearsals. Ensure each worship team member knows and understand the number system and establish a communication method to show which SET of chord progression is being used.

SET 1

Use the Chorus chords of the song with keyboardist or guitarist playing the melody

SET 2 - Lingering Mood

1-1sus4

Example in Key of G, the progression will be G - Gsus4 - G - Gsus4

SET 3 - Common

1 - 6 - 4 - 5

Example in Key of G, the progression will be G - Em - C - D

SET 4 - Intimate

1 - 2 - 4 - 5 or 1 - 2 - 3 - 4

Example in Key of G, the progression will be G - Am - C - D or G - Am - Bm - C

SET 5 - Faith Building

4 - 5 - 4 - 5 or 2 - 3 - 4 - 5

Example in Key of G, the progression will be C - D - C - D or Am - Bm - C - D

SET 6 - Hunger / Desperation

6 - 5 - 4 - 4

Example in Key of G, the progression will be Em - D - C - C
